Yuhe is a London-based HCPC and BADth registered Dramatherapist, as well as a playwright and independent theatre practitioner. She integrates art forms such as story-making, writing, metaphor, and movement to support people in exploring a wide range of difficulties. She has extensive experience across NHS settings, schools, and community centres, working with children with autism and learning disabilities; young people and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or emotional and behavioural difficulties; as well as older adults living with dementia. Yuhe has developed particular focuses in the areas of self-identity, intergenerational trauma, and immigration within multicultural contexts.
As a playwright and theatre-maker, Yuhe incorporates dramatherapy skills into her creative process, using body and imagery to explore emotion, trauma, and identity. Her works have been presented at the Youzhong Theatre Festival (Shanghai), Hangzhou International Theatre Festival (Youth Unit), Macau BOK Theatre Festival, the 2021 BADth Annual Conference (UK), Camden Fringe (2024), and Wandsworth Arts Fringe.
